Your Television Knows Best was Sheep Worrying’s first ‘revue’ style show with songs and sketches created by the cast. The evening included a send op of ‘Question Time’ written by Brian Smedley staring Alan Gadd as Robin Day, a pastiche of star trek by Jon Lyon with Tim Mander as Cpt Kirk and a satire of BBC West programme RPM, which had just done a feature on Sheep Worrying. In our version Dave Keighron took off Andy Batten-Foster while a fishing rod took off his curly red wig and the sketch was broadcast on the BBC featuring Stuart Croskell as Stranglers guitarist Huge Cornball (who apparently liked it).
Some well known Smedley/Newman songs were premiered by Club Whoppe at this performance including ‘Me and My Clone’, ‘Working in an Office’, ‘Rock n Roll Lizard’, ‘I’m Busting out for Xmas’ and the imminent Sheep Worrying EP track ‘You’re Sort of OK’
